Tragic crash claims the life of a motorist

On Behalf of | Sep 12, 2021 | Auto Accidents |

It seems there are more vehicles on the road than ever before in the state of Maryland. Drivers face a myriad of obstacles each time they get behind the wheel. Frequently congested and overcrowded roadways mean that accidents are basically inevitable. Traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of personal injury and death in the United States.

Accident details

Recently, a three-vehicle accident in Beltsville claimed the life of a woman. The accident happened during the afternoon hours on Baltimore Avenue at the intersection with Ammendale Road. According to reports, a southbound sedan rear-ended another sedan that was sitting at the traffic light. The first sedan continued on and collided with a car that was turning right from Ammendale Road onto Baltimore Avenue, reports said.

Tragedy

Reportedly, the driver of the turning car suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a local medical center. Tragically, she later died from her injuries at the hospital, authorities said. According to investigators, there were no other injuries in the crash and speed may have played a factor in the accident. The crash remains under investigation.

These days, it seems the main question regarding accidents is not if they will happen, but when. Although defensive driving and other precautions can be taken to reduce the risk of accidents, many crashes are completely unpredictable and unavoidable. Those in Maryland who have suffered personal injury or the loss of a loved one in an accident caused by negligence have the right to take legal action and consult an attorney. A successfully litigated claim could result in a substantial monetary award that victims and families could use to recover any financial losses that may have occurred due to a tragic accident.
