Hit-and-run accident

Recently in Prince George’s County, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a driver who fled the scene. The accident happened during the morning hours in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near the Intercounty Connector. According to reports, a vehicle was parked on the shoulder of the highway and two individuals were outside the vehicle having a discussion.

While they were talking, a black sedan reportedly struck one of the individuals and fled the scene. A second vehicle also struck the pedestrian, but the driver pulled over and called authorities. Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, authorities said. Maryland State Police are continuing to search for the driver who fled the scene and are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the accident.
